Finally home after getting X-rays and turns out whats happend is he split his thumb open from the top down to the middle of the thumb deep enough that his bone was alway split in half, the doctors arent overly worried about the bone as it will heal on its own however is on antibiotics to prevent bone and injury infection and we are off tomorrow morning to pmh for surgery to remove the nail, clean the wound and re attach the nail and stitch it all together, so my tough little cookie isnt in much pain hes more just uncomfortable the doctor said, so short sleep now I have to get up at 5.30am tomorrow, thanks everyone for the well wishes
