My major celebs come from the 80’s,90s and early 2000’s, all the new “music” (if you want to call it that, with the exception of some), actors, and comedians that have emerged since 2005 and onwards are sometimes only a face without a name for me. So, when reading a Lifestyle magazine that my hubby put in my Christmas stocking, I was shocked and appalled by some of these celebrities in this magazine. I knew that someone out there needed to make a point out of this. Humility? Seems to have dissolved into the cracks of Hollywood. So, who jumped out at me after reading this December 22, 2014 issue? Well, Lil Wayne for one. It was his daughter’s 16th birthday party and he gives her a party in supreme grand style! He not only gave her a BMW for her birthday, but he also hired Nicki Minaj to perform. The party cost him a whopping $500,000! At 16yrs old, Lil Wayne was making a name for himself in music. He grew up in one of the poorest parts of town and WORKED for his success. What is he teaching his kid by giving her such lavish gifts? Nothing. He is teaching her absolutely nothing about real life. Good gawd man, wake up and teach your kid what the value of a dollar truly means! The Kardashians – of course would be part of my rant. I think about this massively messed up family and think, STOP REPORTING ON THESE IDIOTS! It’s keeping their bank accounts fat. But, alas, just like Howard Stern received popularity by people who hated him, I think the Kardashian family fall into the same category. Love to hate them. Kim big-ass Kardashian went to visit US troops over the holidays as, I suppose, a charitable event (not sure what seeing her would be that’s charity, but who knows), and instead of concentrating on the men and women that protect her big ass, she turns it into a photo shoot by straddling a large cannon there. Sorry, Kim, don’t think any amount of medication will make Kanye THAT big! Oh boo hoo… Mariah Carey wants Nick Cannon back, as reported by Lifestyle magazine. According to that source, Nick wants no part of the super diva. Who could blame him? Mariah is one of those divas that are SO demanding. Nick is, from what I know, not only a great piece of eye candy, but a sweetheart as well. Mariah, he fathered your two beautiful kids, now leave him alone. Go do your screeching, err, I mean, singing in someone else’s ear. As long as he is a good dad to the twins, he’s better off without your whining. Speaking of whiners, the next moronic celebrity is Kanye West. He reportedly took a flight and refused the meal. He proceeded to take out a GOLD spoon and fork and took out his own smoked salmon and caviar. I mean, come on, no one likes airline food, but GOLD utensils? I wonder if his stools are gold plated kinda like Suri Cruise’s. Oh Jimmy Fallon, you have got to be one of THE most wonderfully talented men on this earth. I’d like to take this moment to say congratulations on welcoming your second child into the world via surrogate. Carrie Underwood, the country diva said that she does not go ONE DAY without applying makeup. This is a gorgeous woman. Why does she feel the need to put animal fat all over her face? She said that when she passes the mirror and checks herself out, she wants to show that she gave her appearance some effort. Guess you’ll never catch her at the local Walmart in her pajama pants, eh? This Teen Mom show that everyone is so goo goo over, why? Can someone please explain why this has been glamourized? Yes, teen pregnancy is a serious issue, but by putting it in a spotlight to the point that they are getting PAID $400K+/season is ridiculous. Why do they not do a show about young teen mothers in actual shelters, struggling? Show the TRUE reality of what is happening in the world. By putting such a spin on it, making it look so grand, it’s NOT HELPING the already serious issue. Wake up, stop supporting shows like this!!! Teresa Giudice of the Real Housewives of New Jersey will be going to jail in early January. She worries that her celebrity status will make her a target. I think her biggest worry is going to be the fact that her jail cell was occupied by many other women before her arrival. She was reported in Lifestyle magazine as stating that she thought it was “gross” to move into a home that had a previous owner. Well, Teresa, you’re gonna find our cell a whole lot more gross, I assure you. Have fun squatting to pee in the same room you’ll be eating your chicken fingers in. Bradley Cooper, oh, Bradley, you hunk of a man, you. I read that he needed to gain 30lbs for the American Sniper movie he starred in. Instead of taking muscle enhancements to aid his progress along, he wanted to remain sober (unlike his role in the Hangover movies) and wanted to build the muscle on his own with food and exercise. Bradley, you just went up another notch in my books. I end my first ranting blog with Iggy Azalea. This chick needs to be taken down a peg. She went to The Standard (an LA restaurant) and DEMANDED a grilled cheese with pesto sauce on the side. The restaurant didn’t even have that on their menu. Sure, I’ve been to restaurants before and asked the chef to change a meal or two for me, but to DEMAND that a grilled cheese be made. I would have shoved it in her face. People like this with this attitude make me sick to my stomach. Celebrities have so much hold over society, I don’t think they realize just how their actions are being shadowed by SO many minds. It’s frightening. Please celebs, get your heads out of your asses, take a slice of humble pie and make a damn difference! -Patti
