First time the entire train is in place, and the clock is running continuously on its own power!!! *Note: The sound in the middle of the video sounds like someones hammering steel. Its not that loud or sharp in person. Im at about 40% right now (I think). Theres going to be a lot of adjusting and fiddling in the coming weeks. Theres some things that I need to iron out, such as balancing the pendulum so it swings on center, and getting the spacing and counterbalances just right to make all the clicks clean, and the action smooth. That large groove down the center of the pendulum will eventually have adjustable weights that slide up and down, so you can adjust the timing just right. Im still tweaking the drag-fan, so thats not in the clock right now. Interestingly enough though, with a little slip on the inactive gear, the shock on the escape wheel is absorbed, and it seems to work pretty well without the fan. Its getting to the fun part now!!!
