Following a discussion that lasted just over 45 minutes Wednesday morning, the California Fish and Game Commission voted 5-0 to accept the recommendation of California Department of Fish and Wildlife staff and list the Clear Lake hitch as a threatened species. The Center for Biological Diversity petitioned the state for a listing under the California Endangered Species Act in September 2012. Lake County News will have a full story on the commissions decision later today.
