Food Fish Update: It is looking very likely that our fishermen will be heading out on the water tomorrow to start fishing for our home use sockeye. There was a set back initially by DFO not wanting us to have our allocation fished on the east coast. Thankfully Sechelt is going to help us get our food fish by granting protocol and by expressing their rights and title in the form of a license and letter signed off by their Hawiih. Thank you so much Sechelt. If anyone sees someone from Sechelt give them a hug. So the Princess Colleen will be most likely start fishing tomorrow. Good news there. We may see sockeye distributed as early as this coming Friday. The plan will be to deliver fish on the first day to Port Alberni Friendship Centre, Tofino at Lionsgate, HSC, and Ahousaht. The second day we will be delivering sockeye to Nanaimo at Laura Graves house at 435 murray st., Victoria at the Songhees Longhouse on Maplebank rd., and Vancouver at the Friendship Centre 1607 East Hastings st. Times and dates will be posted as soon as we know the day of delivery. Wish the crew good luck and please spread the word. Call all your relatives.
