Football West State Futsal League Winter 2014 We are THE CHAMPIONS! LONGOBARDA vs TITANS FUTSAL 2-2 (P.K. 6-5) What a great game of futsal it was the Football West premier league grand final today at Ballajura indoor sport stadium. Titans Futsal started the game strongly and earned an early lead in to the first half, we reacted well and played all the first half at the same level with titans, but in the last minute of the period a defensive mistake gave the chance for titans to close the first half on 0-2. In the second half we pressed higher from the first minute and after few chances missed, Jan Cok invented an unbelievable goal and reopened the score 1-2. The game was still level for many minutes with both teams creating goals opportunity all saved by the goalkeepers, but Diego Doria equalised for Longobarda after a great ball served by Slovenian n. 10 Jan Cok. The game ended 2-2 and in the extra times it could have gone either ways but again the goalkeepers of both sides were outstanding. At the penalties, 5 each were not enough yet to decide the winners and in the sudden death our keeper Pat Sutherland scored the winning penalty! Well done to everyone for this amazing season, Premier league winners and Division1 3rd position! Well done to Titans for a great fair play expressed on the field and for their performance!
