For a considerable period of time I struggled with the question, why dont people make a total commitment to the Lord? Why are they reluctant to give Him their all many talk about spiritual matters, and attempt to live decent lives, yet they cant seem to move out of their comfort zone to make an all_out, do_ or_die decision to serve God with all their heart, soul and mind. Then one day in prayer, the Lord spoke clearly to me with these words. People do not commit to Me because they dont have confidence in Me. They question whether I will do what I have declared. As I pondered those words, I began to realize why our generation has such a hard time developing confidence in God. One of the primary reasons is the faith destroying teaching that indoctrinates our young people in public school during twelve formative years. They are taught God did not create anything and the universe just appeared out of nowhere. In addition, a few ardent nonbelievers convinced secular judges to remove prayer from our schools while Christians couldnt muster enough strength to have the decision reversed.
