For a good dose of witchcraft with your medicine, why not try the - TopicsExpress

For a good dose of witchcraft with your medicine, why not try the AFS Pharmacy in Mackay? I went in to buy some asthma medication and sudafed and went through the third degree about who it was for etc. Then the pharmacist reconfirmed all the details and carefully explained the need to see a doctor if things didnt improve in a few days. All good stuff. Then Im told that I can take something to boost my immune system. Like a vaccination? I said. Yes, you could, but I was thinking more of some vitamin C or echinacea says the pharmacist. That launched a debate about the scientific standard of proof behind the claims made for these products. Apparently there are different opinions of the science in this case. Like the science of global warming? I asked. Well the pharmacist reassured me that they had personal experience of the value of those products. That must be the new anecdotal level of proof. Pharmacists should be a source of sound information about products that are proven to work, not businesses that upsell homeopathy and other products that have no value. Coincidentally, Jacki was watching this video when I left to go to the pharmacy. https://youtube/watch?v=HMGIbOGu8q0
