For all my non MI friends, that may see a meme up with an inaccuracy stating MI telling combart (yes spelled wrong in the meme) where to fire since 1775. Yes the official Military Intelligence branch was not started until the latter half of the 20th century. Unofficially, the Continental Army and the United States Army heavily benefited from the use of Intelligence gathering Soldiers and Officers. Linguists specifically during many of our wars. Yes to some of you Infantry folks that like to use the word POG for us support types should remember one thing. When we are attached to you guys, we are expected to lug more and at the same pace as you. We are all rifleman first when we work in the field. A little healthy ribbing now and again isnt bad, but when it borders on disrespect of a branch, thats intolerable. Remember Combat Arms, MI guys of the same age, are working hard and doing things that most people couldnt dream of doing to help SUPPORT You. Their actionable intelligence has probably saved your tails more than once. And their combined skills have caught more than a few bad guys. Albeit like all branches we have our fair share of idiots... Some incredibly intelligent people without common sense. We may not train to the same discipline, but we are still wearing US Army on our chests, the flag still is on the same shoulder. And we all swore an oath to the Constitution during a time of war. Knowing we were writing the same blank check to the United States. So we will not disrespect you, because we respect your combat prowess and discipline. Do not disrespect us just because of the actions and loud mouths of a few. with all the utmost respect Raven
