For the first tine in the 5 year history of The 12 Supreme Days of Christmas, we have had our first contention of the gift giveaway. It was reported yesterdays winner did not fulfill both requirements of the event. Here is the verbiage on the web page and FB- TO ENTER- Head on over to Doug Kulies site Ridiculous Rhacs (CLICK HERE), like his page if you havent already, and say THANK YOU for you gift. While the winner did Like the page, they did not say Thank You. I am struggling with this issue as I want to keep this event fun and for the hobbyist, but certainly see the protesters point of view. There is no easy way around this. I will go back to both the intent and spirit of the rule- To support our donating vendors and breeders. With a LIKE, the vendor received a quantifiable benefit to the donation. This was the intent. The criteria, as I wrote it, and as I interpret it now ask for the contestant to LIKE the page..... and then out of courtesy leave a thank you. This event has been fun for me, the vendors/breeders, and hopefully everyone involved. I want to keep it that way but also I want to stick by the rules. This issue has come up specifically because I was not clear enough when stating the criteria and will certainly be clearer in the future. For now, I will stick with the intent of the criteria (to LIKE the page) and retain the current recipient. BUT, I welcome your comment below and if I have ONE person object (either in a comment below, or a personal message) I will find another solution to Day 5s giveaway. Thank you, Wally
