For those asking: If you are NOT a regular employee: (1) You - TopicsExpress

For those asking: If you are NOT a regular employee: (1) You are NOT allowed to be absent or late. EVER. (2) Thus, you cannot get sick for the time period. (3) Any absence or instances of tardiness WILL BE taken against you, no matter the reason, no matter what leave form you have signed/approved by your managers. Because you DO NOT have leave credits yet. Never assume that just because you have your leave form without pay signed by HR or your supervisor, means youre excused from being absent. Even regular employees DO NOT get excused from absences, which is why they have to use their leave credits. (4) Not getting paid for being absent or having deductions for your tardiness does not mean those incidences will not be reflected on your record. You will not get paid/incur deductions AND youll have those incidences on your 201 file. Its not Di na nga ako binayaran, e di dapat wala na akong marka sa record ko or vice versa. ITS NEVER A ONE OR THE OTHER THING. ITS ALWAYS BOTH. (5) Since you are not a regular employee yet, your performance is closely monitored. For a lot of companies, attendance is a key performance indicator. Simply put, (1) DONT BE ABSENT OR LATE FOR WORK. (2) ALL, AND I MEAN, ALL, EVERY SINGLE ABSENCE AND TARDINESS WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST YOU. Whether you are still on probation (will reflect on your 201) or even a regular employee (they can be filed as leaves, but then they can be considered as factors for non-performance - pangit ang trabaho kase parating naka-leave). Directly or indirectly, attendance issues affect your work. If you need to be absent or late, your reasons have to be valid. That said, even if you have the most valid of reasons, know that youd still be subject to the consequences, especially if you are not a regular employee. So, be smart about anything related to your attendance record. P.S. These are general practices for companies. If your company is more lenient, then consider yourself lucky. But then, always make sure youre not missing anything from your HR Department. Walang nagwagi sa maling akala. P.P.S. There is just no valid reason to be late. Zero.
