For those of you out there that are precision, long range shooters, you are most likely aware of or are currently using some type of ballistic calculator app on your phone. Another benefit and function of the Mk1 Smart Mount is the ability to transform your smart phone into an onboard/rifle mounted ballistic calculator. By mounting directly to your rifle, a shooter can take advantage of the ballistic calculator in conjunction with your phones inclinometer to adjust your shots based on you LOS. Here are a few shots taken with an iPhone 5 attached directly to a .30-06 platform while zeroing in a new Burris Optics Company MTAC 4.5x-14x-42mm. While you cant really see anything in the video (although you can hear the thud of the 2nd and 3rd shot on a 6 plate @300yds), the point is to demonstrate that the Mk1 and, in this case, the iphone can handle the recoil generated by high powered rifles. https://youtube/watch?v=NfYZBfk8GdI&feature=youtu.be
