For those of you who dont want to wade through the comments on my post regarding my experience at Sheetz the other day, see what the response I got was. Thank heavens for video! (More details on what happened: I struggled with the pump at first, because it wouldnt accept my credit card. There was no sign or message anywhere saying I had to prepay. But I figured out that I had to prepay after a couple of tries. When I didnt use up all of the money I put on prepay, the pump screen said to see the cashier for change. The woman who made a big deal out of my being deaf apparently was a manager trainee...she was incredulous that I didnt know that the change would automatically go back on my credit card. Sheesh.) Good Afternoon Ms. Suggs, My name is Kelly Lemmon I am the store manager for the Sheetz store in Walkersville Md that you visited on Thursday Oct 16th. I was not there on the day that you shopped there it was my Manager trainee Jamie that handled the situation that day. I would like to first of all apologize for the disrepectful way that you were treated on your visit that day. I pulled up and watched the video for that day and I have talked to all of the people that were involved in the incident. I am dissapointed that we made you feel like you were a bother and inconveniece to us that is not how we treat our customers. We have lots of deaf customers and some of them are our favorite customers because we laugh and joke around together. It saddens me that we did not make you feel that same sense of hospitality. I am sorry that you do not wish to shop at our store again. I appreciate you bringing this matter to my attention so that I can make sure that all of my employees and management people are properly trained in dealing with these kinds of situations. I also apologize that the signage at our pumps is not marked more clearly so that customers know how it will work if you prepay inside the store with a credit card. I hope that you will give us another chance to get it right next time. I am going to send you a $10.00 gift card for the inconvenience and embarrasment that we have caused you.
