For years, I have rolled my eyes at my grandmother who insisted on - TopicsExpress

For years, I have rolled my eyes at my grandmother who insisted on double-locking the back door at all times, because someone might jump the six foot fence and come in. Here alone, I reveled in not locking it when I came in from smoking. Guess who just had a hysterical teenager burst in the back door? All is well - I got 911 on the phone (thank you Pasadena for having a 911 system that works with cell phones!), kept her talking, casually unlocked the front door so the cops could come in when they arrived. They were awesome and chill about it. I was awesome and chill about it. But oof! Now I have the adrenalin shakes. Of all the stress I expected to deal with this week, that was not on the list. Lisa plans, G-d laughs.
