For years Ive felt so fortunate to live in an area with some of the top healthcare resources in the US/world - world-class facilities, world-renowned practitioners, advanced research facilities. After a long, exhausting day with one of those practitioners at The (amazing) Emory Clinic, as I drove along Clifton Rd., past Emory Hospital, past CHOA-Egleston (where my niece, Sage, had a heart procedure a few months ago), past the armed guards and gates at the CDC, and past the Marcus Autism Center (all of those, literally, within a few blocks of each other) I felt such an appreciation for those who dedicate their lives to helping others in so many different ways. As residents of metro ATL, were so incredibly fortunate to have those resources, and so many more, right here in our backyard.
