Forecast to become a tropical storm, TC Iselle is now a Category 1 hurricane, located approximately 602 miles east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii. Maximum sustained wind speeds, based on advisory #25 were 86 mph, with higher gusts. TC Iselle should reach the Hawaiian Islands Thursday through Friday evening. If the forecast remains accurate, Hawaii will experience blustery winds, heavy rains, and high surf conditions. The potential flooding may become very serious with rainfall expected to range between 4.00 to 8.00″…with some extreme totals of 10-12+ inches locally. TC Julio is a lower level Category 1 hurricane and is expected to become a tropical storm as it approaches the Hawaiian Islands this coming weekend. Rainfall could be the most threatening weather influence on the Hawaiian Islands, unless it remains far enough offshore of the islands. TC Julio is located approximately 1645 miles east of Hilo, Hawaii. TC Genevieve has continued to strength into a Category 1 hurricane and is now located approximately 1140 miles southwest of Lihue, Kauai. In the northwest Pacific, TC Halong continues moving over the open ocean. TC Halong is well offshore to the east of Taiwan, currently located approximately 250 NM southeast of Kadena AB. The current path takes TC Halong to the east of Okinawa, and just to the east of the small island of Minami Daito Jima. Thereafter, it pushes more or less northwards towards the southern Japanese Islands, still as a weakened typhoon. Winds will diminish as it makes an impact along the Japanese coast, and then out into the East China Sea. An area just to the south of Mexico has a low chance of developing into a tropical cyclone
