Forecast update: Mike Breunling WSAW EVENING: Cloudy, breezy. Areas of light snow, sleet, and freezing rain north of Wausau early, with more snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain gradually developing into the area from the south. By mid evening in the low 30s. Winds east 15-25. TONIGHT: A mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain north of Wausau, and a mix of sleet, freezing rain, and rain south. A few T-storms possible. Snow accumulations of 1-4 north with the highest totals far-north, along with some ice accumulation. In the rest of the area, ice accumulations of a few tenths of an inch will be possible. Breezy. Low 28-33. Winds east/northeast 15-25. FRIDAY: Mixed precipitation changes to all snow north, with a mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow elsewhere becoming all snow during the afternoon. A few T-storms possible early. Total snow accumulations around a foot possible in northwestern Vilas and northern Price Counties, to around 6 along a line from Rib Lake to Tomahawk to Rhinelander, to around 2 along a line from Marshfield to Wausau to south of Antigo, with lessor amounts to the south. Ice accumulations from the freezing rain and sleet of a few tenths of an inch possible. Blustery. High 30-35. Winds northeast/north 15-25 through the morning, turning to the northwest during the afternoon. FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy with flurries far-north, elsewhere chance of flurries early then becoming partly cloudy. Blustery and much cooler. Low 15-20. Winds northwest 15-25 early diminishing to 8-18. SATURDAY: Sunny to partly cloudy. Highs in the mid to upper 30s north of Wausau to the low to mid 40s south. Winds northwest 6-15.
