Foreclosure Sale Stopped and Trial Modification Success for Fannie I. of Chicago, IL! In February 2011, Fannie ‘s medical issues became overbearing and as the hours she was able to work began to decrease, so did her income and ability to keep up with her mortgage. In August 2011, she was served with a summons and complaint in regards to foreclosure, and immediately sought the help of Litvin Law Firm, P.C. to keep her defended from this action, and help her keep her home. Litvin Law Firm’s team worked tirelessly, successfully defending the lender’s attempts at foreclosure in the court while attempting all avenues of loss mitigation available directly with the lender. With several application for assistance denied by the lender, we continued with several appeals and resubmissions knowing Fannie fell within the qualifying guidelines. We are happy to share with you that Fannie was recently approved for a trial modification plan that lowers her monthly payment to the mortgage by nearly $300 a month. With our obtaining this approval, we also successfully stopped the foreclosure sale date, originally scheduled for May 7, 2014. Upon successful completion of this trial, and all payments made in full and on time, all future foreclosure actions should be completely withdrawn. We will continue to monitor during the trial period and represent Fannie until a permanent modification is offered to her.
