Former Albanian workers tell similar stories of being forcibly removed from their posts, in some cases by Serb police, soon after Belgrade revoked Kosovos autonomy in 1989. A former financial executive at Electronomia, Abdullah Xhambazi, said he was removed after the Serbian authorities ordered that the working language of the company would be Serb rather than Albanian.
