Former Jr. Topper Will Craig doing BIG things on the baseball diamond at Wake Forest! JR. TOPPERS...We are all about the ships! (Championship and Scholarships!) GREENSBORO, N.C. - Wake Forest freshman Will Craig was named the ACC Baseball Player of the Week as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference office on Monday. Craig earns the honor after batting .615 in four games last week to lead the Demon Deacons offensively. He had two home runs in the series win over Georgia Tech. It was the first series win in Atlanta against Georgia Tech since 2001. He finished the week 8-for-13 at the plate with five RBIs, four walks and struck out just twice. A native of Johnson City, Tenn., Craig is currently on a 10-game hitting streak and has reached base in the last 11 games. He ranks fifth in the league in batting average at .375, second in slugging percentage at .604, and is tied for second with three home runs on the season. Craig becomes the first Wake Forest player to earn the honor since Matt Conway in 2011. Miamis Javi Salas was named the ACC Pitcher of the Week after throwing a perfect game against Villanova.
