Former NCGOP executive director Scott Laster is now lobbying on behalf of the CCA (Coastal Conservation Association) to NCs state legislature. If you want to know what the CCA is pushing for right now: they want to sell out NCs waters to the federal government under a joint enforcement agreement (a measly 150k or so from the feds in exchange for NCs sovereignty over our state waters) as well as other measures to put NCs commercial fishermen out of business. How does one sleep at night knowing they are working to further these goals? Do they think about the effects their actions have on real human beings and families within our state? Know that no amount of dollars in this world can equate to the costs one will have to account for upon meeting their maker for the freedoms this group is contriving to take from NC residents.
