Fr. Ron’s Corner….. First I want to thank everyone who was so kind and supportive of the three college age students walking with ”Crossroads” who are taking steps to save lives, especially the unborn. Crossroads’ mission is to be a visible witness to the church’s teachings about pro-life as they walk from the west coast of the US to Washington DC. They have the opportunity to visit many parishes along their way. All three of them commented to me about your warmth and generosity. They were also very impressed by your interest in their “walk.” They congratulated me on the warmth and beauty of our parish and our ministry. I told them that I inherited this blessing from Fr. Tim and all of you. I know that I was personally touched by their presence and I know that you touched them by yours. We are working with Holy Spirit to provide Mass opportunities for the Feast of the Assumption. They will offer two Mass times and SJ the other two for a total of four Masses in Avon Lake for the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. We will also publish the Mass times at St. Raphael, the other parish in our cluster. Please take time to attend this Holy Day of Obligation on 8/14 or 8/15.
