Fred Sonic Smith passed on twenty years ago today, effectively marking the end of a historic era. An extraordinarily talented and almost criminally underrated guitarist and songwriter, Fred epitomized everything that was great about high energy Detroit music. Heres a video, some familiar faces performing one of his better known songs, and some words from his wife.
