Free oldskool re-eq tweaks. 10 only, first come first served - TopicsExpress

Free oldskool re-eq tweaks. 10 only, first come first served basis, 1 track per person... Just looked at a few masters from the new Suburban Bass album. The sad thing is that they could have corrected eq from dodgy speakers and also corrected the drop off from vinyl sourced material. I dont want to go on and on about frequencies, but roughly speaking the outputs should be within a couple of db from the midrange upwards (of course there are peaks for different sounds and notes). On Far Out for example the level at 2k is 12db more than at 10k. In basic terms that is a lot/ 4 to 6 times as much as I am usually requesting people to change their individual sounds in mixdowns. Although the compression of their masters cant be undone, the eq can be corrected a lot. I cant really put up a clip of what should or could be done to show the difference but if anybody has bought that album and has a favourite track they want re-eqed from it, please send it over (1 per person). I will do the first 10 that come in and set aside time on Thursday next week to tweak them. This offer is also open to people who have bought remastered tracks from the new site selling oldskool- I havnt heard their work yet, so I will be fascinated to take a look. Please use wetransfer to upload to my email address [email protected] I am thinking of offering an eq retweaking service at £4 per track, although I think its sad that people have paid for remasters, hence my free offer (but I cant spend all day fixing old tracks for free!). Luke McMillan -Tagging you as you were on about the Suburban stuff, just to let you know the tracks sound like a cake playing on a grammarphone but with the hmvs dogs head stuck in the horn.
