Free play from Stephen Nover When its bad on bad like this, I - TopicsExpress

Free play from Stephen Nover When its bad on bad like this, I like to take the points especially when they are in this high of a range. The 76ers just suffered their fifth consecutive home loss, getting buried 125-99 by Atlanta last night. Its best for the 76ers to be leaving town and immediately playing again following the stench of that loss probably their worst of the season. 76ers coach Brett Brown called it Philadelphias worst performance of the season and called out his players for not putting in an effort. Usually when a coach calls out his team for lack of effort you can be assured of a focused, all-out effort in their next game. The 76ers have as many good players as Detroit. Michael Carter-Williams is the leading candidate for Rookie of the Year honors. Evan Turner is having a breakout season and Thaddeus Young has played well. The Pistons have underachieved all season. They know their choice is either head to the lottery, or sneak into the final playoff spot and face a sweep at the hands of Indiana or Miami. They are not a motivated bunch. Detroit has lost 11 of its last 15 games. The Pistons have been brutal at home covering just 35 percent of the time. They are 2-7 ATS in their last nine home contests and 3-8 ATS versus foes with a losing record. The Pistons have been idle since Tuesday. They were supposed to play in Atlanta on Wednesday but that matchup was snowed out. Normally time off is good for an NBA team - but this is too much time off. Expect a rusty performance from Detroit. The 76ers have been surprising money-makers on the road covering seven of their past nine away matchup. Monitored by the Sports Watch Monitor
