The math is simple: According to a Civic Economics study, the $55 million in housing bonds Austin voters approved in 2006 will bring about $865 million to the Austin economy. The right thing to do is simple: More than 38,000 affordable housing units are needed in Austin! At a time where we are blessed with so much success, we are cursed to find housing for the most vulnerable and most in need as rents continue skyrocket with demand.
