From Bell County Volunteer Fire Department Officer Bucky Shelby This morning at 6:45 am the BCVFD was called out for a structure fire on Hwy 221 across from the Right Fork School. The department responded with 5 pumpers from Right Fork, Arjay, Fourmile, Headquarters, & Calloway stations along with several fire department members. The structure was an unoccupied house on Martha Locke Brock Road and a total loss, but brought under control within a couple of hours. Some fire personal remained on the scene throughout the day to monitor the structure for rekindling due to the closeness of other homes. This section of Hwy 221 was closed to traffic and rerouted to Peach Blossom Road during the fire. The scene was cleared and reopened to traffic by 9:30 am without any further incidents or injuries.
