From Kanawha County Schools: Kanawha County Schools will resume on Tuesday, January 21. Bottled water will be available to all students until the end of the day on January 24th. All meals served to our students will be meals prepared without water. All protocols were followed as directed by the West Virginia Department of Education and the Kanawha County Health Department. I want to assure you that the strictest following of the protocols were followed. Certified plumbers were used to flush all of our systems. Plumbers were instructed very carefully on the protocols. All our schools were inspected by the Kanawha County Health Department and clearance was given once they confirmed all protocols were followed. Upon completion of the inspection, each of our schools was cleared and documented as safe to use. It was important that every protocol was followed to keep our children safe.
