Youre welcome to copy/past my words) Remember the bloody clash between Uighur refugees and Vietnamese border patrols on the China-Vietnam border last April? A few Uighurs and Vietnamese died. Some Uighurs jumped to death as they tried to escape. The rest of the refugees, mostly women and children were repatriated to China. This video released yesterday by top Communist Party mouthpiece Chinese Central TV (CCTV) on its Facbook page is full of lies and propaganda but contains some interesting footage of clashes including the one in April. As the incident in April unfolded, Vietnamese government banned independent and international media to enter the area. A few Vietnamese friends (inside Vietnam and overseas) and I compiled a series of reports on the incident. According to a leaked Chinese local government document that was posted on Twitter, the Chinese government had known the refugees would cross and border in Guangxi province and alerted Vietnamese authorities and later sent Chinese Armed Police. Photos of Chinese troops massing around the border in the next few days were also posted on Chinese Weibo and Twitter. So watch this video with caution. Its probably better if you dont understand the mandarin spoken in the video. The footage can tell some truth behind all the blatant lies. CCTV claims the captured Uighur men confessed they were attempting to wage intifada in Vietnam. Yeah right, with little babies (you can see in the video)? -- Rose Tang, Chinese writer/activist
