From the Mayors Office regarding trick-or-treat: When we originally scheduled trick or treat, we were aware there was an away football game that evening. We didnt think there would be a huge impact on our trick or treaters. But it looks like now that our Rockets football team could be headed to the playoffs, this completely changes the dynamic. As a city we are very mindful that support of our school system and our students is paramount, we are a community. We realize that many of our families have children not only in high school but in elementary and middle school also, and we dont want to have parents have to make the choice between trick or treat and going to support our Rockets football team. With all of this in mind, the decision has been made to move Trick or Treat back to Saturday night, November 1st from 6-8 pm. Please share this with your friends and families. Halloween is still over 6 weeks away and we hope that giving this much advance notice will give people an abundant amount of time to plan for this. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.
