From the comment section below: I agree and just to be clear the comment about Upton was her comment and not mine. There are a number of folks (many of whom clicked like on Jens post explaining her reason for deleting my post) who have long tried to shut down debate about issues with the district. They always fail to understand that even the district and those we elect on the school committee can make poor decisions. Each time they do we have the same group of folks come to their defense no matter what the evidence against them is or no matter how destructive the decision could be to our schools, our children or our towns. Instead of seeking to get a wrong corrected they try to stop debate and stick their head in the sand. That accomplishes nothing and does not better our district and the services they provide in exchange for our tax money. They pick sides even before all the facts are in and in most all cases to date they come out with egg on their face. Then instead of admitting the district made a mistake, they make excuses, try to stifle debate or blame the messenger. I agree Michelle Cormier Goodwin the earlier article hits the nail on the head. But thats the world we live in and I will always stand up to folks who try to silence debate and block public access.
