Fun at the salon today! (Can you tell who talked me into pink and purple highlights???) So today we practiced/played with orange lipstick. This can be a tricky color thats obviously not for all skin tones. Warm skin tones do best with this warm color. There are some oranges that lean towards the red side, but I was finally able to find an orange I was satisfied with. For this application I used VooDoo foundation and HAC (goes without saying at this point, VooDoo is ALWAYS on my face). I used Kat Von D lipstick in Countess and lip liner by Urban Decay in Bang. For my eyes I used the Stila pallet Soul and I kept the application light and easy. I used the color peace on my lids up to right above my crease, getting lighter as I went up. I used light as my under brow highlighter. In my tear ducts and halfway through my bottom lid I used NYX pencil in Cottage Cheese. (Ew! I didnt name it.). I lined halfway down my upper lid with black liner and halfway down my bottom lid to meet the white color. I tight lined with white also. For blush I used Nars Orgasm and topped off my under eye highlight with Nars cream. It sounds way more complicated than it really was. I love the way the orange turned out.
