GERARD BAKER VISITING HORNSEA UNITED REFORMED CHURCH The ‘Living Well’ Project Team of Hornsea United Reformed Church has been fortunate enough to entice GERARD BAKER to visit at 2pm on Friday 8th November to give a cooking demonstration promoting local food as part of their successful ‘Fish on Friday’ Project. The event is sponsored by the Holderness Fisheries Local Action Group, promoting the local fishing industry. For those of you who may not be aware, Gerard Baker is one of Holderness’ undiscovered secrets. Born and brought up in Roos, he still lives there in a secluded cottage, but for the last 25 years has made a career as a broadcaster, food writer and researcher,caterer, author and traveller (the Antartic being a favourite venue). He is a renowned bee keeper and is said to be passionate about cheese and Labradors dogs. You can have an opportunity to meet in person this much acclaimed chef and writer So, Hornsea United Reformd Church is the place to visit on FRIDAY 8th NOVEMBER. Make sure you arrive early to get a good seat. Doors open at 1.30pm.
