GNMIDI version 2.57 is released Most important changes New: Recent setting from splitter button (MIDI information window on or off) will now be remembered for future files. This allows to play MIDI or MP3 files with karaoke lyrics only. Improvement: GNMIDI is yet not tested enough under Windows 8 systems that Windows 8 can be officially supported but some changes were made to increase the compatibility. Some users still have problems using GNMIDI in Windows 8, please send your observations to info@gnmidi and tell me if you are using GNMIDI under Windows 8 or 8.1 (32/64bit) successfully or which problems you notice. Fixed: crash in mute channels dialog using certain MIDI format. New operation: move lyrics and chords by milliseconds. New: load unsynchronised lyrics from MP3 file and display song text. Newu: Scroll unsynchronised lyrics automatically (lines are distributed over song duration). With following gnmidi.ini setting it can be stopped: [Settings] AutoScrollUnsynchronisedLyrics=0 New: GNMIDI will be startet as single application instance, starting a second instance will get first instance into view and open the files given optionally on the command line. With following gnmidi.ini setting it can be stopped: [Settings] SingleInstance=0 Improvement: The entertainment player closes older played songs except the last 5 songs. It was necessary because keeping all files open causes that after hundreds of files the MCI player from Windows does not play more songs or the memory is consumed. Improvement: two operations have been renamed because both operations work for MIDI and MP3 files. Find text in MIDI und MP3 Dateien, Entertainment (Choose a folder that contains MIDI or MP3 files). Hint: unfortunately the Microsoft Windows MCI player does not play some MP3 files, when opening certain MP3 files the MCI player fails with a wrong error reason. Mainly purchased MP3 files with DRM are not working.
