GOD has placed this message on my heart and Ive been wanting to post this for some time now... Just wanted to give a shout out to Beautiful Mallory Michaelis, daughter of Jenni Michaelis !!! I have been so impressed with Mallorys positive attitude and solid character throughout a difficult time in her life. Mallory is an amazing athlete who has played basketball and volleyball and track at PVHS. Two years ago Mallory experienced a torn knee injury that put her out of commission for months. We were all relived and thankful to get her back up and walking and playing the sports she loves so much. Then, just last year Mallory suffered another torn knee injury requiring surgery. Despite the fact that Mallory will not be playing sports at PV for the remainder of her high school years, EVERY SINGLE TIME I see Mallory, she has the most beautiful and contagious smile on her face! Since she hasnt been able to play sports, she has volunteered her time as manager for vball and bball. Most people wouldnt be able to do that. Most of us would be too selfish to want to help out with something that we can no longer be a part of the way we once did. Mallory is not like most of us. Mallory puts all of her teammates needs before her own. This has had to have been a tremendously hard time for both Mallory and her parents. Yet, you would never know it. Even though Mallory wont get the applause from the crowd or be introduced at the beginning of every match, MALLORY IS MY MVP. She is the Most Valuable Person on the volleyball team at PVHS this current season. The Michaelis have raised a beautiful and compassionate and selfless and kindhearted daughter that any mother would be proud of! She is beautiful both inside and out. Thank you Mallory Michaelis for being an inspiration to me and to so many! You have persevered and given us all hope. We need more Mallorys in this world. ...Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope...
