The resort hosted children from Ray of Hope Children’s Home for a day filled with interactive activities and culinary treats at the resort and the home. The children aged between 3 to 16 years had a timed out at the resort with fun filled activities organised by the Leisure team with telematch, kayak, boat ride and cycling. A jolly good time treat for the children continues when they were giving a ride on Go-kart and had a water gun battles at the Paintball war zone at our Extreme Park. Thank you.” “Thank you for painting our home, we are happy with the new look of our home. It is very nice.” added him with a big smile when he reached the home. Pastor Raymond, founder of the home expressed his gratitude to the resort for the support. “I am very pleased and happy for what Golden Palm Tree Iconic Resort & Spa has done for the children. The children hardly ever get to go out anywhere except church, school and of course the hospital and this is a real treat for them” said Pastor Raymond. This is the children’s first visit to the resort. The highlight of the event was the presentation of goodies to the children at the home. The resort donated some groceries to the home and children were giving some toys and school stationery by the General Manager, Thomas Fehlbier. To add merriment to the event, our associates serenade the children with some songs and in return, the girls performed a dance as a gesture of their thankful. In his speech, Thomas Fehlbier said “this CSR event is in conjunction with our founder’s day on 4 June. We are embedded towards the community and what can we do for the community. My wife is giving a free English tuition to the children. Together with my team, we have long term future development to benefit the local communities in near future. By lifting the home and children life, our resort will provide job opportunity for the kids.” “This program fits perfectly into Minor Hotel Group Corporate Social Responsibility and our founder and Chairman has always advocated good corporate citizenship.” “It is aimed at inculcating caring society values within our associates and the community. We realise that there are segments of society who are less fortunate.
