GOOD NEWS / ANNOUNCEMENT Pear Uche, Esquire, ECULAWs attorney in Enugu and an Admin member of DPA, delivered herself of a bouncing baby girl on Thursday, 31st of July, 2014 in Enugu. I was stunned when I heard the good news this morning. Pear and her husband, whom I had the pleasure of chatting with only recently, managed not to let me know until after the baby arrived. Now, I know why. In the past three months, I had send Pearl on so many assignments including in a case where the police in Enugu brutalised some people. I had Pearl represent me at the difficult meeting with the Police Commissioner over there. I have had cause to send Pearl to courts in Enugu every two weeks. I had pushed her hard, not knowing she was pregnant and due to deliver. So, I have now a mixture of feelings of guilt, pleasure and gratitude for the good news. I should not have overworked a pregnant woman in such a manner. At the same time, I am so proud of her for her strength and I am grateful to her husband for his patience and support. This baby is going to be a very strong and smart baby because her mother was so busy and hardworking throughout the time she was in the womb. So, the baby was going to courts with mum on behalf of DPA. On behalf of ECULAW and the entire DPA Admin crew, I invite all members of DPA and our friends at large to join us in celebrating the arrival of the new baby. I hereby declare this baby the youngest member of DPA. God bless Mum and baby. And, God, please dont forget Dad.
