GOOGLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - An elusive secret society. To contact a CSR at Google, unless you are a business or web site owner paying for, or wishing to pay for their services, you need to have 2 small roots from the bleeding tree of the black forest in Zordania and know the magic incantation. Quick questions for anyone using an android device. Pretty much any smart phone thats not an Iphone. ( I dont know anything about Iphones.) Ever get locked out of your phone because you forgot the pattern, pin, or password? Not the 30 second locked out, but the, youve been 30 second locked out so many times youre just simply locked out for good? If you dont know you have a Google account and use an android device, you do. Do you know the date you created your Google account and the last time you accessed it without looking for this information.(Please DO NOT answer with these dates as they can compromise the security of your Google account, and possibly your device.) You will need to know this if youre locked out and dont remember your Google password. If you know this information without searching for it your OCD has OCD. If you know how to find this information please share how in the comments as it may, and probably will, become very important to someone reading this. Cant remember your Google password, locked out of your phone, and your OCD does not have OCD? Just contact Google customer service, I have a map of the black forest for $20. This is Google, a multinational, multimillion (probably multibillion) dollar corporation born on the web, with NO interactive online customer service support. They have a support web page with FAQ. In fact they are so proud and convinced they answered everything you could ever need to know about your Google account when you call their customer service line ( 1-650-253-0000 ) after selecting thru 2 automated menus attempting to reach customer service, the auto- we dont care about you -voice repeatedly gives you their website address for support and no other options. Not all is lost here, there is a way. After searching the web (using Google search at Google) I found gethuman, a web service that is dedicated to helping customers find the best customer service available (I bet theirs is awesome), I learned that pressing 0 while auto-Debbie is telling you to get lost will connect you to a CSR at Google without the condition that you are currently, or wish to begin paying them money. However, they are only available Monday thru Friday from 8a - 5p Pacific time. Huh? Bankers hours? I want this job. Luckily you can search for and use a time zone difference chart at Google (great site, easy to use, loads of extras) So, by calling 1-650-253-0000, only on Mon. - Fri., between the hours of 11a - 8p Eastern (did the search for ya, youre welcome) pressing 5 at the first menu, 3 at the second, and 0 while Debbie says go away, you can reach a CSR at Google. Can they help you ? I dont know, the password was remembered before we could contact them. - This is my personal experience and opinion, no animals were hurt during this experience.
