GRAND SLAM & I WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO A FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR THE 2015 NATIONAL CANADIAN TEAM GOING TO THE IFCS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN MILAN ITALY (APRIL 2015) TRAINING DAY FOR ALL LEVELS! SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH 2014 YOUNG / INEXPERIENCED DOGS - MORNING SESSION (Approx Start time 8:30am) * Food & Toys and any training aids needed are allowed in all events. 1) Puppy Cannon Races $5.00/run - Restraint Recalls through straight tunnels. This will be a timed event using our electronic timing system. All ages welcome (geriatrics too ☺) 2) Tunnel’ers Course $12.00/run - Course consisting ONLY of tunnels! All ages welcome – Dog must be able to do a tunnel. 3) Power & Speed Training Course $12.00/run - A course beginning with the power obstacles such as the Dog Walk, Frame, Teeter followed by a speedy jumpers course consisting of jumps, tire & tunnels. The weave poles will be set up in the ring as well. The channel set & a straight set with guide wires will be available for use during the course time. Each team will have 2 minutes to train in the ring, Dog & Handler teams can choose to run the course or train obstacles individually. EXPERIENCED DOGS – AFTERNOON SESSION (Approx start time 12:30pm) * Handlers will have a 90 second maximum course time. Food & Toys will be allowed in the ring. 1) JUMPERS COURSE – Advanced & Master level route offered. $12.00/run 2) STANDARD COURSE – Advanced & Master level route offered $12.00/run 3) INTERNATIONAL HANDLING COURSE –only 1 route offered. $12.00/run TEAM BIATHLON CHALLENGE- STANDARD & JUMPERS COURSE - Dog & Handlers are encouraged to pair up with another dog & handler team and compete in the Team Biathlon Event. Scores from both the standard & jumpers course will be combined to name the overall winner. Team’s can be made up of any jump height combo. MULLIGAN RUNS! - Have the opportunity to run any afternoon course again for $5.00. At the end of each jump height will be the Mulligan runs. VIP COURSE WALK THROUGH - COACHING BY KAYL McCANN & McCANN AGILITY COACHES! - Have the opportunity to learn from Kayl & her coaching team during course walk (for jumpers, standard & International handling courses). Understand lines on the course & what are the available handling options! Sign up for the coaching service will be available all day.
