Gah... something I didnt just post. You can probably guess the type of comment that inspired it: [sigh] More people in the developed world are getting cancer because thanks to our technology having dealt with many other causes of early death theyre living longer and the natural errors that happen during cell replication are accumulating over a longer period of time... its not that theres more cancer being directly created by our technology, its that its now keeping people alive long enough to develop cancer naturally. Its ironic and rather annoying when people dont think even slightly about what they say and casually write nonsense as a result that is maligning the technology thats responsible for keeping them alive. So, go and do some research into lifespans and mortality rates. Just Google it... it only takes a moment to find out that lifespans in the developed world have greatly increased, roughly in line with increasing technological development. Its really not hard to understand.
