Gambia: Disgraced former Secretary General’s family house besieged Published on:Thursday, June 13, 2013 Disgraced former Secretary General Njogu Bah The family house in Medina, Lower Niumi of the disgraced former Secretary General and Head of the Civil Service and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Njogu Bah has been besieged by the men of dictator Yahya Jammeh, ASN has learnt. Sources told ASN Banjul correspondent that nine military personnel in plainclothes are guarding the compound since the sacking of the embattled former Minister of Petroleum to the surprise of the villagers. Nobody is allowed to go into the compound or leave. Njogu’s second wife is said to be trapped in the family house. It is not clear if she has stayed at will or was forced to stay by the mute guards at the house. Njogu’s father, his first wife and children are currently in Dakar, Senegal. Sources said all of them left shortly after Njogu’s sacking was announced. Although some distant family members said Bah’s father went to Senegal for medical reasons, the travelling of Njogu’s first wife and children with him raised an eyebrow, leading rumor to start flaring around the village that they fled the country. All of Njogu’s travelling documents are reportedly seized from him
