Gandhiji and other leaders of the non violent freedom movement of India were against the European and Neo-European efforts to sow seeds of tension, conflict, war and violence in Asia and the world. However in quoting Gandhiji in general and also in such cases as Palestine, I think it would be wise and justified to take two precautions (1) His opinion must be seen in its context (2) partisan presentation of a fraction of Gandhijis opinion should not be done. [Gandhiji wanted Congress to transform itself as a selfless service organisation is now a days being used by those who are not doing selfless service AND are full upto brim with all evils they criticize Indian National Congress for.] .......Movement for Palestines liberation should have been and should be non-violent; if that is not so it would be a partisan presentation of a fraction of Gandhijis opinion. ASIANS UNITE Do not let the divide and rule policies work be it South Asia or West Asia. Gandhijis opposition to imposition of Jews on Palestine was justified. He is a world leader and not just Indias leader.Indian politicians may follow wrong policies as they are not so truth seeking and true as Gandhiji was.Whatever and howsoever it has been now Gandhian Pacific ways must be resorted to.Animosity will breed animosity. Peace in West Asia, South Asia, Africa etc is what all of us should emphasize for.
