General Accountant Fircroft Saudi Arabia Ref: KP508-474 Fircroft The Role Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa. Direct, supervise and manage various accounting activities within the controller`s office, such as payables/receivables, invoicing, pay and benefit, to ensure the accuracy of financial reports and statements. 1. Manage and oversee all the client`s accounting activities handled by the different officers within the division. 2. Ensure financial records are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) as incorporated in the established internal policies and procedures. 3. Support internal and external audit queries. 4. Process any miscellaneous payments delegated by the controller. 5. Recommend new accounting procedures and system enhancements based on process analysis in order to improve efficiency, accuracy and customer service quality. 6. Implement departmental training and development plans to develop and prepare accountants for the future. 7. Supervise and develop subordinates in accordance with the client`s human capital process. 8. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager. Managerial duties: 1. Manage and oversee the day-to-day work performed by division staff. 2. Ensure all tasks and activities are performed in accordance with the client`s policies and procedures. 3. Assess the current skill set of employees and identify the need for development programs. 4. Motivate, coach, develop and support respective employees.
