Genesis 2:3 (NKJV) Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made. He rested from all His work. God, the creator of heaven and earth and the giver of life, rested. He sanctified and blessed the seventh day. This is pretty significant and its something that we all need to pay attention to. Now, I am not going to get into the debate about which day is the actual seventh day. This is something that way too many people get caught up in and it can seriously distract us from things that are more important. The important thing here is the fact that God Himself rested and blessed that day as a day of rest. We need to follow Gods leading. We need to pick a day each week to rest. This means no working! This means spending time with our family. This means not letting things income-related pull on us. Our minds and bodies need rest. Its critical. Its necessary. It helps us stay healthy and maintain our peace of mind. We want to encourage you today, no matter what your situation, take time to rest. Take time to relax and do something thats not work or income-related. You need it and God wants you to do it. Pastor Curt & Pastor Ellie
