Gents, here’s a warning, The “Teufelshunde” Project is about - TopicsExpress

Gents, here’s a warning, The “Teufelshunde” Project is about Veterans’ Rights and Veteran Advocacy for our entire Military Community; however, when I read this report I immediately began researching to ensure what I was reading was accurate and what I found disturbed me greatly. On May 03, 2013, Rep. Jeff Miller, R-Fla., chairman of the House Veterans Affairs Committee was quoted during a panel hearing, “the overall net effect of the ACA (Affordable Care Act or Obama-Care) on health care for veterans is uncertain at this time.” “Some data suggest that veterans receiving care from both VA and non-VA sources are more likely to be re-hospitalized and to die within a year” quoted by Dr. Kenneth Kizer, director of the new Institute for Population Health Improvement at the University of California, due to Obama-Care. Furthermore, the passing of the Affordable Care Act (Obama-Care) will cause 66,000 new VA enrollees according to the Veterans Affairs Office, which was shot down by the Department of Defense and the House Sub-Committee on Veterans Affairs which project 1.8 Million Veterans will seek enrollment in order to side step the ACA Penalties. Simply being eligible for VA benefits does not exempt one from having to seek health insurance. In order to be exempt, a veteran must be actively enrolled in the VA benefit program. To some veterans who do not qualify for VA benefits, facing either that penalty or the cost of monthly insurance premiums can be daunting. The congressional budget office is estimating that approximately 1 out of every 100 Veterans will have to pay the penalty under the Affordable Care Act (Obama-Care). Lastly, according to more reports The Veterans Affairs Office still doesn’t understand the magnitude of TBI and PTSD, considering reports from last month is still off by more than 10,850 Veterans seeking treatment for TBI. An issue that will be affect by Obama-Care because of the need for a specialist. So even though a Veteran may have Benefits through the V.A. Health Care System, he or she will still need to seek a specialist for treatment of TBI or PTSD, this will increase their approval time for the specialist by several months, if not a year before they can receive treatment after diagnosis. And before you call the Veterans Affairs Office to see if you’ll be affected by Obama-Care, I’ll save you some time, The Veterans Affairs Office has been instructed not to answer any question pertaining to coverage of benefits under Obama-Care or how it will affect Veterans Benefits. This doesn’t include your families, unless you’ve retired from the Military… Pay Attention Gents… Spread the word and Pass this along… facebook/TheTeufelshundeProject
