Get Excited About The Lord! And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her (#Luke10v41-42). The Bible tells us in #Luke10, how on a certain day Jesus visited Mary and Martha in their home. While Mary, with great excitement, sat at the feet of the Master to hear His words, Martha, the elder sister, hurried to the kitchen to fix something for Jesus to eat. Upset that her younger sister didn’t come to help her, Martha complained to the Master and said, “…Master, don’t you care that my sister has abandoned the kitchen to me? Tell her to lend me a hand” (#Luke10v40MSG). Mincing no words, Jesus reprimanded Martha and commended Mary for choosing the more excellent path. Mary delighted herself in the Lord and His words, and this was pleasing to the Master. #Psalm37v4 says, “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” How do you delight yourself in the Lord? It’s by getting excited about Him! Getting excited about His Word, and seizing every opportunity to learn from Him and have fellowship with Him! Those who are often excited about the Lord this way always have supernatural things happening in their lives; they always have testimonies of victories, successes, and promotions. Note the construction of the verse we just read again. It says, “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee….” In other words, without praying, the good things you desire will automatically be made available to you because you’ve delighted yourself in the Lord. You’ll never have to ask for anything for yourself. He’ll grant it before you ask Him. Isn’t this wonderful? Therefore, be excited and exuberant always in your service to Him, and fellowship with Him.
