Getting a prenatal pertussis vaccination in each pregnancy at - TopicsExpress

Getting a prenatal pertussis vaccination in each pregnancy at between 27-36w gestation will allow you to pass antibodies to your baby which will help protect your baby through the first few months of life (when babies are most vulnerable to the disease). This is MORE beneficial than preconception or postpartum vaccination. Its still a good idea for partners and grandparents to be vaccinated for pertussis too as this is likely to decrease risk of transmission to baby further.
