Getting ready to board my Air France flight to Paris. First time flying on Air France and Im excited...its a Boeing 747-400 (my favorite aircraft) and foreign flag carriers generally have better service and food than US carriers. Ive already checked the movies they are showing and there are several I need to see. After a quick connection in Paris, we depart for Istanbul and arrive around 5pm Saturday. A quick dinner and beer (Efes - the local brew and I always drink the local beer when I travel abroad....then a good nights sleep. Many sights to see in Istanbul, including a cruise of the Bosphorus Straits and some time in Asia (the other half of the city). Off to Cappadocia for hiking, then down to Bodrum (on the Turquoise coast), pick up our rental car and drive time to the city of Fethiye for some relaxation and sightseeing. After that, drive to Pamukkale and the Travertine waterfalls along with the ancient site of Hieropolis. More posts, pictures and videos to come...stay tuned!
