Gippsland women’s cycling development squad is coming to fruition in 2015. The aim is to support racers and would be racers achieve their potential. This is not a club thing and interested girls will maintain their club loyalties, rather it is an opportunity to come together as a group for training events, learn racing skills and techniques in a supportive peer group environment. We introduce the prospect of riding VRS races with support. We anticipate riders in all grades in 2015 A, B and C, all grades and levels will be supported, the primary aim is development, to help girls gain the experience in top level women’s racing. VRS is the state best racing series in Australia. Who knows, I’m sure that in time there are girls in Gippsland that can emulate Kristy Glover’s successes at the highest levels of NRS racing.
