Glutathione Facts Glutathione is an amino acid that prevents damage to important cellular components in the human body by debris in the air, such as peroxides or Free Radicals. Free Radicals are certain atoms in the air that damage certain cells in an organism, causing aging. Glutathione is a unique molecule in that it is actually inside a cell, and naturally produced by the body, thus making it perfect to fend off the Free Radical molecules. This makes glutathione very important overall, and the most important amino acid. It does more than just help slow down the aging process. It also fights against the effects of aging, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, coronary diseases, and arthritis. But glutathione can also do much more than that. It helps block drug and air pollutants from causing too much harm on the body, but studies have also shown that if given to women undergoing chemotherapy, it can help fend off some of the negative side effects. It is especially good for anyone with lung problems or damage.
